JX Advanced Metals and TANIOBIS Receive Merck Electronics 2024 Award for Collaborative Partnership
JX Advanced Metals Corporation (President: Yoichi Hayashi, hereinafter "JX Advanced Metals") and its group company TANIOBIS GmbH (CEO: Masafumi Ishii, hereinafter "TANIOBIS") have jointly received the 2024 Award for Collaborative Partnership from the Electronics business of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, a leading science and technology company.
This award is presented to suppliers that have made particularly outstanding contributions to Merck's Electronics business through product development, quality improvement, and stable supply, among more than 1,500 suppliers worldwide. Merck is a global leader in advanced electronic materials, including precursors for Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) and Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) processes used in cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing. This recognition reflects the strong partnership built through close collaboration between Merck and the JX Advanced Metals Group, as well as the Group's continuous efforts in the development, quality enhancement, and stable supply of CVD and ALD materials.
Within the JX Advanced Metals Group, close cooperation has been established between domestic R&D and manufacturing teams and TANIOBIS, which has developed extensive expertise in metal chloride businesses over many years. By leveraging the strengths of each site and working collaboratively, the Group has built a global quality assurance and supply framework, enabling the stable delivery of CVD and ALD materials required for state-of-the-art devices, including logic semiconductors for AI and data center applications, as well as advanced memory products such as 3D NAND and HBM.
As a global player in advanced materials, the JX Advanced Metals Group has supplied materials to leading device manufacturers and chemical companies worldwide for more than 30 years. Looking ahead, the Group will further strengthen collaboration with Merck and other partner companies and continue to contribute to the advancement of the semiconductor industry and a sustainable society through the development and stable supply of high-purity, high-performance semiconductor materials.
