JX Advanced Metals USA's Semiconductor Materials Works in Mesa, Arizona Receives LEED GOLD® Certification
JX Advanced Metals Corporation (President: Hayashi Yoichi, hereinafter "the Company") is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, JX Advanced Metals USA, Inc. (President: Masago Kuwahara), has received LEED GOLD® certification for its semiconductor materials works in Mesa, Arizona, U.S. (hereinafter "Mesa Works").
LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a green building certification system developed and administered by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), a nonprofit organization. Certification under this system verifies that a building demonstrates outstanding environmental performance in such areas as safety for people and the environment, waste reduction, water conservation, and the use of renewable energy.
Mesa Works, which commenced operations in 2024, serves as a base for strengthening the Company's semiconductor sputtering target business in the United States and for developing new businesses. On this occasion, part of the manufacturing building and the adjacent office building at Mesa Works received LEED GOLD® certification.
In particular, Mesa Works received high scores in the Energy and Atmosphere category, which evaluates energy-saving performance, and was also highly rated in the Water Efficiency category for its significant reduction in water usage. As a result, the buildings were recognized for their excellent overall environmental performance.
The Company has identified contribution to global environmental preservation as one of its materialities and is promoting initiatives aimed at reducing environmental impact. The Company will continue to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society by strengthening its environmentally responsible business foundation.
