TANIOBIS JAPAN Co., Ltd. (President: Kazushige Takahashi; "TANIOBIS"), a group company of JX Advanced Metals Corporation (President: Yoichi Hayashi; "JX Advanced Metals"), has once again been certified as an environmental partner under the Nikon Green Procurement Standards established by Nikon Corporation (President: Yasuhiro Ohmura; "Nikon"). 

 

This follows TANIOBIS's previous certification, which was granted in 2023. With the latest recognition, the company will have maintained its status as a Nikon environmental partner for six consecutive years, from 2023 through 2028. 

 

TANIOBIS supplies tantalum oxides and niobium oxides to Nikon as additives for enhancing the performance of optical glass and lenses. These oxides play a vital role in improving optical properties, such as refractive index and transmittance, and are indispensable materials for thin‑film deposition in optical lenses. 

 

Certification as an environmental partner is granted to suppliers that meet the Nikon Group's requirements through an assessment of their environmental management systems, conducted in accordance with the Nikon Basic Green Procurement Policy. 

 

The JX Advanced Metals Group is committed to reducing environmental risks by promoting the effective use of resources and minimizing environmental impact at every stage of its business activities.
