Copper Alloys for Harness Connectors

Backgrounds and Trends

With the recent spread of self-driving and driver assistance systems, the electrical equipment mounted on automotive vehicles has grown in volume and become increasingly advanced. Harness connectors, which have long been used for electrical connections inside vehicles, are also now required to offer more advanced functions.

Material Requirements

High heat resistance is needed to improve reliability in high-temperature environments, and high electrical conductivity is needed to handle large current flows. We recommend our high-strength, high-conductivity Corson alloys, which feature excellent workability along with their strength.
